What the waitlist is for
World Best Insurer's public-facing comparison tools — the catalog of 398 plans, the side-by-side comparison tables, the insurer profiles, the editorial section — are free and require no account. You do not need to be on this waitlist to use any of them. So why does the waitlist exist? Two reasons.
First, we are building a layer on top of the comparison data that we are not yet ready to ship publicly: shortlist sharing across devices, saved comparisons that persist across sessions, automated alerts when a plan we track meaningfully changes (a sub-limit rises, a waiting period drops, an insurer publishes a new claim ratio), and a deeper market-trend report sent to waitlist members before it goes public. None of these features will ever be paid; they are simply gated until we are confident in the data pipeline behind them.
Second — and this is the longer-horizon piece — we intend to add a licensed advisory layer in the markets where regulators permit a comparison-site-plus-licensed-advisor model. That is a regulated activity in every country we cover, with different rules per regulator (IRDAI in India operates under the Insurance Brokers Regulations 2018; the FCA in the UK has the Insurance Distribution Directive permissions; MAS in Singapore licenses financial advisers under FAA; and so on). When and where the advisory side launches, waitlist members get the first invitations.
What you will NOT get: spam, paid placement disguised as recommendations, your email sold to insurers, marketing automation that tries to upsell you into things you did not ask for. We send at most one email a month, and most months we send nothing because we have nothing worth saying. Unsubscribe is one click in every email.
